If you are travelling to the US, review these tips in advance:
- Check passport validity for yourself and all family members. (*Must have at least 6 months validity.)
- Check validity of visa stamp or ESTA Registration. (*Must renew
ESTA every 2 years).
If you are employed in the U.S., you must also carry:
- Any other evidence of visa status / U.S. work authorization, e.g.,
I-797 Approval, EAD. - Evidence of ongoing U.S. employment – employer letter or recent
paystubs. - After each entry to the U.S., foreign nationals should access and
review the electronic I-94 record available on the CBP website.
Expiration dates for the I-94, underlying petition, or work permit may
be different from the expiration date on the visa stamp. - If necessary, schedule an immigration consultation before you travel
and have a Plan B!
